How it works
From first question to consultation
Solar Sidekick handles the enquiry and qualification. Installation partners handle surveys, quotations and installation.
1. Complete the free suitability check
You answer a short set of questions about your property, your relationship to it and your electricity use. It usually takes about two minutes and there is no cost or obligation. We only ask for contact details once the earlier answers indicate the service may be suitable for you.
2. We call you
Complete the check and choose a convenient time for us to call you. We’ll use the call to talk through your options, with no obligation to proceed.
3. You agree to an introduction
If a consultation makes sense, we identify the selected installation partner to you. Your information is not passed to that partner unless you agree to the introduction.
4. The partner consultation
The installation partner carries out the consultation and is responsible for any survey, system design, quotation and installation. Whether you go ahead is entirely your decision.
What we ask partners to hold
We require the installation partners we work with to be MCS certified, RECC members and TrustMark registered. These are requirements we place on partners. Solar Sidekick is not an installer and does not itself hold MCS, RECC or TrustMark registration.
Our role and how we're paid
Solar Sidekick is a solar enquiry and qualification service operated by Selling Sidekick Limited. Solar Sidekick does not install solar systems. Selling Sidekick handles the initial enquiry, confirms suitability and, with the customer's agreement, arranges a consultation with a selected installation partner.
Solar Sidekick may receive a fee from an installation partner when a customer attends an arranged consultation or goes ahead with an installation. This does not increase the price paid by the customer.
